To Ogmios and Catnapping: you misread Obadiah. He never implies that killing of civilians or soldiers is good or morally neutral. It is however unavoidable in war. Either stop the war, or stop whining about civilians.

I don’t care if it’s one infant, or 1million grown men. When civilians are deliberately targeted, that’s a war crime. And any troop should fry for committing war crimes. BUSH should fry for what he’s wrought on the innocent children of Iraq.

Yeah I suppose you are right to rationalize your argument and that is the very argument a good soldier would use in the killing of 3000 civillians in the trade towers against the enemy he is against. You are sick to use this argument and you quite obviously condone the killing of civillians. Maybe when it is your child that has its’ head blown into nothingness by a good soldier just killing a few expected casualties, or sorry ! What was the option other than to “shoot now, ask questions later?” Ask politely if there are any guerrillas hiding in your house, please?Get some respect for your own LIFE. A good soldier/warrior does not kill innocents he focuses on his REAL enemy. It is a rat and slimey thing that is prepared to kill all in the way in pursuit of his REAL enemy, or is that your perception of a GOOD soldier/warrior. You make me sick. You would have let Hitler off you coward.

Interesting viewpoint. I agree that “war happens” and to scapegoat certain soldiers in situations where they were acting on orders to save their own skins (isn’t that the point?) is wrong. It usually happens, as you said, to appease the public when word of the “atrocity” gets out. Much more happens clandestinely that is never prosecuted due to “security reasons.”
