I love this piece from indymedia: Basel al Masri, a farmer, said: “Everybody here [in Gaza] agrees that the militants should not fire from a densely populated area.” The Palestinians fully support Hamas which showers Sderot with rockets but ask their army to fire from empty places to avoid Israeli retaliation. If the Arabs are concerned with retaliation, shall we make it more intense?



Let’s differentiate between supporting Hamas and recognizing that it conducts a proper warfare. After Obadiah, I agree that Hamas is a proper military group which fights for political objective with normal (historically common) means, and fights very cost-efficiently in terms of lives and money. They want the land they consider theirs, and they fight for it. We can kill them out along with the supporters, but don’t despise them.
